The main challenges of this task were that the factory is located in China and the lead time set by the customer was 40 days from order. Standard lead times of bespoke products made in China can be as much as 6 weeks from approval of artwork but we only had 40 days from the day the customer placed the order. We immediately started liaising with the factory, negotiating prices and deadlines and had assurance that the project could be done in time.

In the meantime our graphic designer produced an initial mock-up of the product using a 3 dimensional software. We showed the image to the customer for approval. Following that, we instructed the factory to proceed with producing the mould. The factory came back within 4 days with images of a mould. After showing the mould to the customer we had been instructed to make a few adjustments. These changes added extra time to the task but we acted quickly by producing a further 3D image and sent it to the factory. We received a new mould 5 days later and was approved by the customer. We then instructed the factory to proceed to production.

A week later we received an image of the 1st produced stress item for a final check. The photo proof was approved immediately. Exactly 38 days from placing an order we took delivery of 500 stress men. The order was delivered the next day to the customer which was delighted with the end result.
